Board members with the Southwood Community Association are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting, which occurs in June of every year. Board members hold their positions for one year.
Community members are welcomed and encouraged to attend monthly board meetings at the Southwood Community Hall. It is at the board meetings that we discuss issues that may be arising in the community. Without the knowledge brought forward by the community members, the board is unable to make the necessary change without their support.
Board meetings takes place on the 3rd Thursday of every month, with the exception of July and August when the board is on a break. Please check the Calendar to confirm the next meeting date.

Becky Poschmann
Becky has called Southwood home for more than 10 years! She first joined the board in 2016 taking on the role of Director of Development and became president in 2019. Becky loves everything about Southwood and the potential it has to become one of the best communities in Calgary.

Barb short
Barb has been living in Southwood for over 25 years! Their house was meant to be a starter home but three children later, they have stayed because they love the neighbourhood! Barb has been a key board member for over 5 years. She has been the director of membership since 2021. Barb’s main goal for joining the board is to be informed on what’s happening in the community and to offer her opinions.
